CPH is pleased to inform that the project Check Point of the Future has been kicked off.
As previously informed, the project involves replacing the current 22 first generation lanes (conventional X-ray) with new scanning equipment (EDS-CB C3), in order to optimize capacity challenges at CSC and to meet future regulatory requirements.
From week 43 and until week 50, the project will involve relocation and installation of lane 12-16, which will be temporarily removed to CSC east to maintain capacity during the construction period.
Simultaneously lane 17-18 will be disassembled to make room for the new scanning equipment. During this period of time, CSCs capacity will be reduced with 21 %, which CPH expects will impact the queuing time during peak hours. Due to the infrastructure projects major impact on CSCs capacity, CPH will need to temporarily suspend KPI 4 in week 43-50, in accordance with section 7.2 in the Service Level Agreement.
CPH will of course seek to minimize the impact of the construction work as much as possible and work to secure a timely security control to any extent possible.
As it can take longer in the security queue, Air Greenland recommends that you arrive in good time for check-in.
