Security restrictions have been introduced at Nuuk Airport, limiting the number of aircraft allowed to land and depart within a rolling one-hour period.
These restrictions are set by the airport authorities and are outside of Air Greenland’s control and influence.
When delays occur in the flight schedule and lead to cancellations, the restrictions may mean that Air Greenland is not always able to add extra departures or adjust the schedule, even though we would like to.
In some cases, this can affect how quickly passengers can be rebooked when a flight is cancelled.
