Upgrade, change or Refund your tickets

If you booked your trip directly with Air Greenland, you have access to My Booking, where you can upgrade, change or refund your Air Greenland flight tickets online.

Air Greenland offers different ticket types, and the options for changing, upgrading or refunding your ticket depend on the type of ticket you hold.

 

Takuss, Standard and Premium Tickets


Changing Date or Time

You can change the date, or time of your journey for a change fee, up to 2 hours before the trip begins. The fee is 750 DKK per person, plus any fare difference between the original and new travel dates. This applies to both domestic flights within Greenland and transatlantic flights.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to reverse an upgrade, even within the 24-hour rule. Therefore, we are unable to offer a refund if you wish to change back after upgrading.

 

Please Note

  • If the journey was purchased as a single itinerary (priced and issued as one ticket), only one change fee applies - i.e. 750 DKK per person.
  • If the journey consists of two separate itineraries (priced and issued separately), a change fee will be charged for each journey.
  • The change fee is charged per occasion. If you change both the outbound and return journey at the same time, a single fee of 750 DKK per person applies. However, if you make changes to the outbound and return journeys at different times, two separate fees will be charged.
  • It is not possible to change the passenger name on Takuss, Standard, and Premium tickets.
  • If you booked your journey directly with Air Greenland, you can change your ticket yourself online via My Booking, where updated prices will also be displayed.
  • If you require assistance with rebooking from the Air Greenland Call Centre, you can contact us via the contact form.
    In addition to any fare difference and the change fee, a service fee of 300 DKK per person will apply.
  • If you purchased your ticket through a travel agency, please contact the agency directly.

 

Upgrades

Takuss and Standard tickets can be upgraded to Premium.
Upgrades can be made online via My Booking up to 2 hours before departure, provided the ticket was purchased through Air Greenland’s website or Call Centre.

Unfortunately, upgrades cannot be reversed, even within the 24-hour cancellation window. Therefore, refunds cannot be issued if you wish to undo an upgrade.

Upgrade Without Changing Travel Date
Applies to upgrades where the departure date remains unchanged.
Price: The fare difference between the existing and new ticket.
 

Upgrade With Change of Travel Date

Applies to cases where both the departure date is changed and the class is upgraded.
Price: 750 DKK per person plus the fare difference between the existing and new ticket.

Upgrades at the Airport
Ticket upgrades must be completed no later than 2 hours before departure.
It is not possible to purchase an upgrade during check-in.

Upgrade With Change of Travel Date
Applies to cases where both the departure date is changed and the class is upgraded.
Price: The fare difference between the existing and new ticket.

Refunds
Takuss, Standard, and Premium tickets are non-refundable.
If you cancel your ticket, only taxes and airport charges will be refunded.
 

Seat Selection

  • Seat selection is free when booking Standard and Premium tickets (excluding extra legroom seats).
  • For Takuss tickets, seat selection costs 150 DKK per person during booking. Once purchased, seat selection is non-refundable and cannot be reversed.

Changing Date and Time

If seats are available on your preferred routes, you are free to change the departure date, or time.
If you purchased your ticket directly from Air Greenland, you can make changes yourself by logging in via My Booking up to 2 hours before departure. Alternatively, you can contact us or your travel agency for assistance.

Upgrades
Standard Flex tickets can be upgraded to Premium or Premium Flex.
(Note: If you upgrade to Premium, you will no longer be entitled to a full refund.)
Upgrades can be made online via My Booking if the ticket was purchased through Air Greenland’s website or Call Centre, using this Contact Form.
 

Upgrade Without Changing Travel Date

Applies to upgrades where the departure date stays the same.
Price: The fare difference between the existing and new ticket.

Upgrade With Change of Travel Date
Applies to cases where both the departure date is changed and the class is upgraded.
Price: The fare difference between the existing and new ticket.

Upgrades at the Airport
All upgrades must be booked no later than 2 hours before departure.
It is not possible to purchase an upgrade at check-in.

Refunds
The full amount of a Standard Flex or Premium Flex ticket can always be refunded.
Please note: A refund fee of 100 DKK per person will apply.

General Ticket Rules

  • Tickets can be cancelled online up to 2 hours before departure, and the refundable amount will be returned to the credit or debit card used for the original purchase.
  • Flown segments of the journey and any purchased cancellation insurance are non-refundable.
  • You have a 24-hour cooling-off period after purchase, during which a full refund can be requested. Please use our Contact Form for this. This does not apply to change fees or seat selection purchases.
  • To change or refund a ticket, private customers must log in via the booking section on the homepage by clicking on the My Booking tab.
  • For business customers, the booking coordinator at the company must log in via the corporate portal and access the travel overview.
