At Air Greenland, we want your journey to get off to the best possible start. That is why we make it simple and straightforward when you need to find your seat on board – whether you are flying across the Atlantic or between cities in Greenland.
Domestic routes (Dash 8):
- On Air Greenland’s domestic routes operated by Dash 8, you will be assigned a seat at check-in.
- On these routes, it is not possible to reserve a seat in advance, as the aircraft type, capacity, and operational conditions may vary.
- Your assigned seat number will be shown on your boarding pass.
Helicopter routes:
- No specific seats are assigned on helicopter flights, as the seats are not numbered.
- This means that passengers generally choose their own seat when boarding.
- However, for operational and safety reasons, Air Greenland reserves the right to assign specific seats in the helicopter.
Atlantic routes:
- On our Atlantic routes, you can choose your own seat when booking your ticket online.
- For operational and safety reasons, Air Greenland reserves the right to change confirmed seat reservations right up until boarding.
- It is not possible to receive a refund for a purchased seat selection at a later date.
- In the event of irregularities (cancellation), the seat reservation is cancelled. The amount paid for the seat reservation will not be refunded.
- Your seat number will be shown on your boarding pass.
- For safety reasons, passengers seated in emergency exit rows must be able to open the emergency exit quickly and without assistance and assist the crew in an emergency. Therefore, children, infants, and persons with reduced physical or mental abilities cannot be seated in these seats.

If you have special needs, we recommend that you inform Air Greenland when making your booking or no later than 48 hours before departure, so that we can best accommodate your needs and make your journey as comfortable as possible.
