When you travel with Air Greenland, a certain amount of baggage is included in the price of your ticket.
Baggage exceeding the permitted allowance is considered excess baggage and is charged according to the applicable rates.

The excess baggage fee depends on the journey and the specific route.
You can find out the current price at the airport or heliport you are departing from.
We have included a few examples below to give you an idea of the price level.
Payment of the excess baggage fee is made at the check-in counter before departure, unless you have purchased additional baggage online or through a travel agency.
Buy online and save up to 30% on the excess baggage fee
When purchasing your ticket directly online through the Air Greenland website, you have the option to purchase additional baggage during the booking process and save up to 30% on the excess baggage fee.
If you wish to add baggage later, you can easily do so through “My Booking” on Air Greenland's website.
Please note that prepaid excess baggage is non-refundable.
If you purchased your journey through a travel agency, please contact the agency directly.
Maximum limit for excess baggage
You can pre-book up to 75 kg of additional baggage per passenger when booking your journey or through “My Booking”.
Excess baggage exceeding 75 kg must be arranged through the Call Centre via Contact us well in advance, as we may need to block seats on board. Please provide the number of kilograms, the number of items and their dimensions.
Alternatively, some of your baggage may need to be sent as a cargo shipment.
The price depends on the distance of the journey and may therefore vary depending on the route.
For safety reasons, our staff are not permitted to lift more than 30 kg at a time. We therefore recommend that baggage weighing more than this is divided into several items, such as suitcases, bags or similar.
