Children under the age of 2 will not be allocated a seat, but will receive a safety belt and life jacket.
If you are travelling in economy class on our Airbus which flies between Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen, we have carrycots for children aged less than 9 months.
The carrycot must be ordered at least 24 hours prior to departure. If you have forgotten to do so, however, please contact our personnel on check-in. We kindly inform that it is not possible to order a carrycot for our Premium class.
We recommend that your healthy newborn baby is at least seven days old before he or she goes on its first flight. If in doubt, seek advice from the hospital or your GP.
Children under 2 years of age
Children under the age of 2 receive a 90 % discount on the price of an adult ticket (on Economy Class, not on Premium Class) exclusive taxes and duties. The child is not allocated its own seat and has to sit on the lap of an adult – or young person aged at least 15. The child will receive his or her own safety belt and lifejacket.
It is possible to book infants on Premium Class. The child is not allocated its own seat (although a seat can be purchased) and has to sit on the lap of an adult or young person aged at least 15.
If you wish to travel with an infant on Premium Class, the infant must be booked as a child. Please note, however, that there is no child discount on Premium Class, and that we do not offer carrycots on Premium Class.
Only one child below the age of 2 per adult
It is only possible to travel with one child under 2 years per. adult.
If you want to fly with more children under the age of 2, there must be one more adult on the trip.
The reason for this is that there must be one adult per. children at evt. evacuation onboard our aircraft.
Price for two below the age of 2
One infant pays the same price as for a child under the age of 12.
This child must be able to sit properly on a standard aircraft seat or child safety seat that you have brought with you that can be fitted on the seat.
The maximum dimensions of the child safety seat are 65 cm in length and width, whilst the height must not exceed 45 cm. The seat can face forwards or backwards.
Children between 2 and 11 years of age
Children who are more than 2 years of age but not yet 12 and over, can qualify for a 50 % discount on the price of an adult ticket exclusive taxes and duties. The child gets his or her own seat. Please note, however, that there is no child discount on Business Class.

Ordering a carrycot
On our Airbus, which flies between Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen, there are carrycots for children below the age of 9 months and a weight of less than 11 kg and a length of less than 65 cm on our economy class.
Order the carrycot no later than 24 hours prior to departure by contacting our Customer Support via this form, or please contact your travelling agent, if your ticket is purchased through an travelling agency.
It is free of charge to order the carrycot, but there is a limited amount for each flight, so please order it as soon as possible.
Travel bags for prams
Prams/pushchairs that are to be checked in as regular luggage, must be folded up completely.
If it is to be transported by helicopter, the wheels must be removed and attached to the frame.
Prams/pushchairs are included as part of the normal checked-in luggage.
The weight is thus included in the total amount of baggage, for which excess weight is charged if the total weight exceeds the permitted free baggage amount.
Prams/prams must be packed in special bags made of strong plastic, before they are loaded, to avoid damage to the other luggage on board.
The bags can be bought at all Greenlandic airports and costs DKK 50. In Copenhagen you can buy a bag at the check-in counter.
Children under the age of 2 can bring 10 kilo of baggage/luggage, and one light pushchair (measurement 110cm x 25cm x 25cm)
For children of the age of 2 and thereafter, the regular baggage/luggage rules applies.
If the child must be accompanied by a fellow passenger, this must be 16 years of age for safety reasons.
You can order a special menu for babies or children on flights between Greenland and Denmark no later than 48 hours prior to departure. The food can be ordered online when booking your ticket.
