At Air Greenland, your safety and comfort are always our highest priority.
To ensure that all passengers can enjoy a safe and comfortable journey, there may be exceptional situations where Air Greenland, following an individual assessment, may refuse to allow a passenger to board. Such situations will be handled with the utmost discretion.
Possible reasons for denied boarding
Air Greenland reserves the right to refuse boarding if a passenger:
- Refuses to undergo security screening or to have their baggage screened
- Makes threats against the airline or other persons (e.g. bomb threats)
- Refuses to comply with the airline's safety regulations
- Is visibly under the influence of alcohol, drugs or strong medication
- Is unruly and has an appearance, behaviour, or mental or physical condition that may be dangerous to or cause discomfort to other passengers
- Is in such a state of physical weakness that the planned flight would, without doubt, result in health complications or death
- Requires or is dependent on independent assistance of any kind during the flight and does not have a qualified companion travelling with them
What happens if a passenger is denied boarding?
- Passengers who are denied boarding will lose their booking and must purchase a new ticket themselves
- Any additional expenses (e.g. hotel accommodation and meals) are the passenger's own responsibility
- Passengers who display threatening or violent behaviour will be reported to the police immediately
