When travelling with Air Greenland, a certain amount of baggage is included in your ticket price. The baggage allowance depends on your ticket type.
Weight Concept
Air Greenland applies a weight concept for checked baggage. This means that the total weight of your checked baggage is what matters, rather than the number of bags.
For carry-on baggage, specific rules apply regarding the number of items, dimensions, weight, and permitted contents. Please follow the link below for more information:
Carry-on Baggage
For safety reasons, please note that no single checked bag may weigh more than 30 kg.
Infants under 2 years of age are entitled to 10 kg of checked baggage and one lightweight umbrella stroller (maximum dimensions: 110 x 25 x 25 cm).

Electronic Devices and Lithium Batteries
Electronic devices containing built-in batteries with a capacity of less than 100 Wh per device must not be packed in checked baggage and must instead be carried in your carry-on baggage.
Examples of such devices include:
- Mobile phones
- Tablets/iPads
- Laptops
- Similar electronic devices
If you wish to carry spare batteries with a capacity of more than 100 Wh, you must obtain prior approval from Air Greenland.
The following conditions apply:
- A maximum of two spare batteries may be carried.
- No battery may exceed 160 Wh.
- The equipment for which the batteries are intended must be carried with you during the journey.
Lithium-ion batteries with a capacity exceeding 160 Wh must be shipped as dangerous goods.
Most common devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, contain batteries below 100 Wh and may therefore be carried in your carry-on baggage.
If you are unsure about the battery capacity, please refer to the manufacturer's specifications.
Spare batteries are not permitted in checked baggage.
Medication:
We recommend carrying any medication you may need during your journey in your carry-on baggage so that it is easily accessible.
If you require oxygen during your flight or wish to travel with your own oxygen equipment, please contact us well in advance of your departure.

Additional Information:
Further baggage-related information and guidelines can be found under the Baggage section of our Customer Service pages.
It is not possible to purchase additional baggage allowance for interline tickets.
This is because other airlines typically use the piece concept, where baggage allowances are based on the number of bags, whereas Air Greenland uses the weight concept, where allowances are based on the total weight of baggage. Due to these differing baggage systems, additional baggage cannot be purchased for interline itineraries.
