If a cancellation or delay causes you to miss your onward connection, the following generally applies:
Air Greenland tickets:
If you have a through ticket with Air Greenland, where all flight segments are included under the same booking reference, Air Greenland will cover your accommodation, meals and any necessary transportation in accordance with the applicable guidelines.
Tickets with another airline:
Air Greenland does not cover hotel, meals or other accommodation expenses if you miss your onward connection with another airline. Air Greenland is also not responsible for rebooking tickets with other airlines.
District flights:
Air Greenland covers accommodation expenses for passengers when a district flight between a town and a settlement is cancelled or delayed, and the customer does not have access to private accommodation.
Air Greenland will cover the passenger's accommodation expenses in the event of irregularities affecting a district flight, provided that the passenger has a same-day flight reservation on Air Greenland's commercial route network and the irregularity results in a delayed arrival and the cancellation or rescheduling of the passenger's journey on the commercial route network.
When does Air Greenland not cover accommodation expenses?
- Air Greenland does not cover accommodation expenses in settlements.
- No additional compensation is provided beyond the above-mentioned expenses for accommodation, meals and local transportation.
- Your onward journey is booked under separate reservations with other airlines or using other means of transport (e.g. train, bus, ship or car), or
- The journey has not been issued as a single through ticket by Air Greenland.
