Air Greenland offers WiFi onboard flights with Tuukkaq from 13th february.
Please note that WiFi is not available on flights with Jettime, as it does not have internet installed.
Below you can see how to log on to WiFi onboard the aircraft.
How do I log in?
You can access our WiFi portal on one of your own WiFi-enabled devices.
Simply scan the QR code found in our entertainment system or on this leaflet. Alternatively, you can find the link to the WiFi portal in our entertainment system. From here you can buy access to our WiFi network from your own device and surf away.
How much does it cost?
6 USD = about 49 DKK.
The platform from which the internet is sold comes from an external partner and therefore the price is only displayed in US dollars which is a standard with other airlines as well.
When can i start surfing?
The service will be activated after start and deactivated before landing. For safety reasons, the internet service will only be active after take-off, when we reach cruising altitude and until the descent for landing begins.
How much bandwidth can i expect?
The goal is for everyone to have a good, high-quality experience. Due to the limited bandwidth available on an aircraft, the WiFi service is designed for basic web browsing, chatting, online shopping and email. It is therefore not equipped to handle large data transfers, such as large file transfers (including downloading/uploading of movies or videos) or video streaming.
Can i use WiFi throughout the entire flight?
You may experience shorter outages when the system switches from one satellite to another, or when we fly very high towards the North Pole. If this happens, you can reconnect by going to the WiFi portal on the entertainment system, scanning the QR code with your device again and pressing “reconnect”.
Which devices can be used?
All WiFi enabled devices with an internet browser (e.g. laptops, tablets, mobile and smartphones) can connect to the WiFi network and access the Air
Greenland WiFi portal to log in and access the Internet.
How many devices can I use at the same time?
You can only use one device at a time.
To switch to a new device, just go to Air Greenland WiFi portal on the second device and use the same login as before. The first device will then be disconnected.
I can't connect, what do I do?
Make sure WiFi is enabled on your device, then select airgreenland-WiFi. If you have a promo code, check that you have spelt your code correctly. You can also always access the WiFi portal by scanning the QR code again to check the system status.
Please remember
Show consideration for other travellers throughout your journey. Any telephone conversations over the WiFi connection must be kept at a neutral volume and filming of other travellers is not permitted without consent.
